Condolences for late Ezanthung Lotha

The Editor and staff Nagaland Post expressed grief at the passing away of late Ezanthung Lotha ‘Mouzadar’ of Dimapur Mouza No. I and father of Abemo Lotha one of the staff on June 3 in New Delhi after a prolonged illness. In a condolence message to Mrs. Ezanthung Lotha, the Editor and staff while sharing the pain over the loss to the bereaved family stated the contribution of late Ezanthung to the church and society would be forever remembered by all those who knew him. Expressing sympathy with the bereaved family members, it cited “The loss is painful and we can only pray that God Almighty will grant you strength and comfort to overcome your grief at the darkest moments of your life and eternal peace to the departed soul”. Late Ezanthung’s body was flown from Delhi on Thursday, followed by a funeral service held at his residence, Churches Colony attended by scores of the deceased acquaintances, neighbors and relatives. Rich tributes were also paid by late Ezanthung’s fellow colleagues, Church elders of Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, president Naga Council, Dimapur, Savi Legise and relatives honoring the dedicated social worker who served the public in various capacities. Late Ezanthung Lotha is survived by his wife, two daughters, three sons and four grand children. Meanwhile, Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) and Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, have mourned the demise of Ezanthung Lotha, former president, Naga Council, on June 3 in Delhi. A press release issued by Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) president, Savi Liegise, late Ezanthung was a dedicated social worker who served the public under various capacities including president (1987 to 89) besides as a ‘mouzadar’ of Dimapur Mouza No. I till his demise.NCD further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul. DC, Dimapur, in a condolence message said late Ezanthung had worked sincerely and diligently in collecting government’s annual land revenue which was appreciated by district administration and general public and further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul.
