Water bottling plant launched in Dmu

New-Tech, a mineral water bottling plant located at New colony, Purana Bazaar was inaugurated on Friday by Parliamentary Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Dr K C Nihoshe. The Parliamentary Secretary accompanied by officers from the Directorate and District Industries Centre, Dimapur visited the bottling plant and later launched the products under the brand name ‘Oasis’. It may be mentioned that New-Tech, is the second plant in the Northeast along with ‘Silver Drop’ of Assam to have semi automatic machines to compete with other national brand names like Bisleri and have seven stages of purification process. Speaking on the occasion, Dr K C Nihoshe, lauded the efforts of young entrepreneur in taking the risk in setting up the unit and stated it was a challenge to the youth. He also informed that government was willing to help set up any type of industries in the state. While pointing out the charter of demand of WHO, the chief guest stressed on the importance to provide pure water supply to every human being. He also urged the proprietor to compete for improvement of the product. The proprietor of the unit, Heroka Sumi informed that the unit processes about 1500 litres of water per hour and can pack 1200 bottles of 300 ml of water in an hour. He also disclosed that the product would be launched into the market on Saturday including in the neighbouring states of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Upper Assam. There are 300 ml, 1 litre, 2 litre and 20 litre bottles under the brand name Oasis, he stated.
