The animosity that had existed for many years between two villages, Alisopur and Tsadang under Tuensang district, due to the prolonged warfare between them during the time of head hunting has now been done away with. A meeting held between Alisopur union and Tsadang union of Tuensang town convened by the former at Tuensang on July 4 fructified into the reconciliation between the two villages. The meeting deliberated on the relationship and hostile history between the two villages and came to a unanimous decision to “forgive and forget” the past and to begin a new chapter of love and cooperation. According to the chairman of Alisopur union Tuensang Town, Tia Sangtam, during the reconciliation meeting, the two unions decided that the citizens of two villages should henceforth live and nurture the feeling on oneness. They also decided to hold similar meetings from time to time in order to renew and strengthen the relationship between the villages in near future. (Correspondent)
