National Integration Camp at Phek

With the aim for disseminating the message and necessity of Sadbhavana, peace, development and solidarity among the masses as well as for displaying the cultural variety, uniqueness and integrity of the country, the participants of the five-day long programme of National Integration Camp at Phek organized a peace rally. The rally started from office of the Chakhesang Students’ Union towards Clock Tower to traffic point near DC office, which was flagged off by Kupota Khusoh, chairperson, Phek Town Council. Educational field visit and interaction with community was held in Phek village, considered to be the granary of Naga heritage and culture and a living example for the participating youths. History, geography, religion, political and social-culture activities of the people were also discussed with the village council members and the village GBs. In a formal meeting with the village council members and village GBs, speeches were delivered by Shenutso Soho, VCC, Dusanu Venuh, G.B.,Y. Laskman Signh, DYC Phek where participants interacted with the villagers. Participating youth also visited all the Khels of the village, village parks, housing patterns, granary store, memorial stones, dress patterns, ornaments, skills of hunting etc. Meanwhile, DYC expressed gratitude to Phek community for the hospitality and acknowledged their selfless support, physically and morally showing good examples to the participants of National Integrated Camp (NIC).
