Now, farmers can run pumps by using cell

After launching Tata Nano by Tata group, for the common man, now it’s another group of the company, Tata Teleservices which brings ‘Nano Ganesh’ for farmers. According to DNA report, the project named Nano Ganesh, offers revolutionary services that will allow the farmers to operate their irrigation pumps from far off locations without having to travel to and fro daily. “We have tried the pilot project in Anand in Gujarat and after getting its report, it will be replicated in other villages across the country,” said chief operation officer, Gujarat, Tata Teleservices Ltd, Naveen Bhasin. For a farmer, the cost the of Nano Ganesh is about Rs4,700 which will have two mobile phones and device which will be connected to water pump. “If farmer has more pumps, than he will have to buy equal number of mobile phones,” he said. Nano Ganesh is developed by Ossian Agro. “Tata Teleservice is first operator in India to partner with Ossian Agro who has developed the product for farmers.
