Dense forest, crocodiles; 10 celebrities in reality show

Dense jungle, crocodiles, creepy spiders, energy draining tasks, 10 celebrities- a heady mix of all these elements will be seen in a new reality show to be aired on television from next week. ‘Is Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao’, a new reality show to be aired on Sony Entertainment television from July 15, will see 10 celebrities will be leaving behind a life of luxury to survive in the Malaysian rain forest, in a bid to be crowned as the King or Queen of the jungle. The show, an adaptation of ITV Global Entertainment’s ‘I’m A Celebrity-Get Me Out Of Here!’, will see people from different walks of life, including popular television stars Shweta Tiwari and Aman Verma, struggling to survive in the jungle. Other celebrities roped in by the channel for the reality show, shot in Malaysia’s oldest and largest Taman Negara tropical rain forest, include television actors Aakashh Deep Saigal and Chetan Hansraj, pop singer Anaida, model coordinator and choreographer Marc Robinson, actress Mona Vasu, ex-MTV Roadie Palak and Hip Hop artist Ishq Bector. Also among the participants of the show is Fiza, earlier named Anuradha Bali, who has been in the news since last year after marrying then deputy chief minister of Haryana Chand Mohammed, earlier called Chandra Mohan. According to UNI report, ‘’The show has been well-received by audiences internationally and we are sure that the innovative concept will entertain and keep the viewers on the edge of their seats wondering what next?’’ said Gurdip Bhangoo, Programming Head of Sony Entertainment Television. The show will be aired from Monday to Thursday at 2200 hrs and Fridays at 2100 hrs. Mini Mathur and Yudi will host it. Says show participant Ishq Bector,’’I am one of the contestants and am super thrilled to be a part of the show. Camping and Nature have always been my thing. ‘’Also, I sit all day at my studio on the same chair, while devices have completely taken over my life. Cant wait to unleash myself out there in the jungle.’’ When last contacted the Aye hip-hopper star Ishq was busy making preparations for the daring times ahead and believed that such opportunities helps one in pushing the boundaries of self revelation further.
