Census of India 2011 to be conducted in Kohima

Office of Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India would be conducting census 2011 in the entire country in 2011. The first phase of census 2011 called as ‘Houselifting and Housing Census’ would be conducted between April and September 2010, the second phase called as ‘Population Enumeration’ would be conducted during February to March 2011 followed by filling of (NPR) schedule to create National Population Register as decided by the Government of India. According to an official bulletin, the pre-test for the census of India 2011 will be conducted between June 28 and August 17. In Nagaland, the pre-test in urban area conducted in Midland ward in Kohima town. All resident of Midland ward have been requested to extend cooperation to enumerators and supervisors as and when they visited their households while conducting census.
