KPC general meeting
DIMAPUR: A general meeting of the Kohima Press Club (KPC) has been scheduled for July 25, 1 p.m at KPC and DPRO conference hall, Kohima to discuss about the accreditation issue and matters pertaining to the welfare of the cub members. All responsible have been requested to attend the meeting. KPC members have also been asked to forward agendas, if any to KPC vice president, Vibou or general secretary Narayan Bahadur before July 24.
KVSU directs hostels
KOHIMA: Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU) has directed all unregistered hostels within its jurisdiction that the final registration for hostels would be held at KVC hall, Kohima village, on July 25 from 4 pm to 7 pm and on July 26 at 12 to 3 pm. The union further said it would pay surprise checking to hostels established within the jurisdiction of the village after the expiry of the scheduled registration time and further cautioned that it would impose penalty by shutting down the unregistered hostels and has requested to contact KVSU president at 9436207884 or general secretary at 9615244835for further clarification.
Kohima DEO inform schools
KOHIMA: District Education Officer, Kohima, Zaveyi Nyekha, has informed all schools who have been intimidated with a letter for the workshop on Tobacco Control Laws for school teachers to respond positively and depute two G/T or PGT to attend the workshop. The district level workshop would be held on July 24, 9:30 am at Hotel Japfü. The DEO stated that defaulting schools would be marked by the Department of Health and Family Welfare and the Department of School Education.
Lions Club Medical Camp
DIMAPUR: Lions Club of Dimapur is providing free medical check up under the supervision of Dr. Rose Mary at Lions Health Centre, Midland, Dimapur from 2 p.m to 5 p.m daily except on Sunday.
A note issued by Lion Neeraj Kala PRO Lions Club, Dimapur has said that all needy people can avail this service.
CMO Zunheboto informs
DIMAPUR: Chief medical Officer (CMO) Zunheboto Dr Viheshe Yepthomi has informed that Road & Bridges minister along with parliamentary secretary, Industry & Commerce, Dr K C Nihoshe would be having a meeting with all medical officers including RCH, NHRM and Ayush medical officers under Zunheboto district at CMO chamber on July 24, 1 pm. All medical officers have been requested to attend the meeting.
SAKK prayer programme
KOHIMA: Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK) Pughoboto has organized a prayer programme on July 22, 4:30 pm at Pughoboto Town Baptist Church for all SAKK executives and Aphuyemi students and also for its 41st general conference to be held in 2010. The resource persons for the programme include Rev.G.Kiyeto Sumi, executive secretary SABAK; Khukiye Chishi, Field Supervisor, NCRC Pughoboto Cebtre; James Swu, youth secretary, SABAK and Qhehoi, pastor, Pughoboto Town Baptist Church. All members have been requested to attend the prayer programme.

DIMAPUR: Pochury Baptist Churches, Women department has organized a ‘couple seminar’ on July 25 and 26 at Meluri Town Baptist Church. The resource person of the seminar would be naro, secretary, NBCC, women department and M. Odyuo, pastor, City Church, Kohima.
Gospel concert in Sumi churches
DIMAPUR: Mission and Evangelism department of Western Sumi Baptist Churches Association (WSBCA) would be organizing a gospel concert at Thahekhu Baptist church on August 8, Chekiye Village Baptist Church on August 15, Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church on August 22 and Purana Bazar Sumi Baptist Church on August 29.
KOHIMA: Chozuba Town Women Welfare Society (CTWWS) has condemned the attempted rape on a minor girl by one Kelebi T. Mero. Through a release, the society asserted its stand to fight against violation of women’s rights and check that such incidence does not occur in the future.
