KDHU directs on allowances KDHU: Kiphire District Handicapped Union (KDHU) was formed on July 13 at Kiphire town with Yanglise Sangtam as president and R. Rechong Tikhir as general secretary. The sole aim of the Kiphire District Handicapped Union would be achieving and utilizing the various allowances from the government for physically disabled persons and appealed to all HOD’s , NGOs and organization to cooperate and extend help in any situation. NDDGDU new team NDDGDU: Nagaland Directorate and District Government Drivers’ Union (NDDGDU) has informed all department and district level drivers’ union to nominate two members from each directorate and district to consider for executive members of the union. Members have been asked to submit the names of office bearers within one month. NDDGDU has elected new team of office bearers which include G. Rongmei from Agriculture department as the chairman; Kjakahu from Electricity Department as vice chairman; Imlikokba from Irrigation Department as the general secretary; R.C. Sharma from Forest Department as the joint secretary; Imtikumba from Vigilance department as the information secretary; Yam Bahadur from Electricity department as the finance secretary and Neisavituo from cooperative department as the treasurer. Children’s summer camp at Mount Zion school DIMAPUR: A one day childrens’ summer camp was held in Mount Zion school, Kushiabill on July 18 where a total of 50 campers from different schools studying in class 1 to class 5 attended the camp. The childrens’ summer camp was conducted by the Sunday school department of Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur as a mission of child evangelism with great enthusiasm and jubilation. The childrens’ summer camp started with a brief introduction and prayer led by Tsenyani Lotha, chaplain cum teacher of Mount Zion school. The resource persons were Elizabeth Ovung, Sunday school director, Aebno Ovung, Mhonyani Ezung, Limongi Ezung. The highlights of the childrens’ summer camp included learning action songs, choreography, puppet show, story telling, activities and fun time and also presentation of gifts and prizes to the campers by the resource persons. Assistant commissioner of taxes (zonal) W. Y Kithan and his lady wife provided refreshment to the campers while assistant commissioner excise, C. Nribemo Ngullie provided the sound system. The childrens’ summer camp concluded with a vote of tanks proposed by Chumjano Lotha, administrator Mount Zion school, Kushiabill.
