Kma administration bids adieu to DC

Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Sachopra Vero was bid farewell at a formal function Tuesday at DC’s conference hall, Kohima. Outgoing DC Sachopra Vero said because of great teamwork among his officers many duties could be pulled off smoothly, including the general elections last year and this year’s parliamentary elections. He termed those as big achievements and lauded the officers for their cooperation and support. He further thanked all NGOs and civic bodies for the assistance during critical times and for making his stay comfortable. Advising his subordinate staff in the office, Vero called upon them to be dedicated in their duties and to work for welfare of the people. He said office works should not be kept pending and everyone should work towards serving the public in the right perspective. ADC Chiephobozou, Rovilato Mor who spoke on behalf of outpost officers termed the outgoing DC as the most pragmatic and active officer that he has worked with. He also said the outgoing Deputy Commissioner took firm decisions and did not waver from his judgments and also maintained cordial relationships with his subordinate officers and staff. EAC (Sadar), Neilezo Tep speaking on behalf of Hq officers said the outgoing Deputy Commissioner has always been encouraging the junior officers and could cope with the mounting pressures in the line of service. He wished the outgoing Deputy Commissioner the best of luck in his new assignment as Director, Youth Resources & Sports. Other speakers included Superintendent, DC Office, Kamai and PA to DC, Keneizezo. The programme was chaired by ADC Kohima, Zeneituo Yano and was well attended by all officers and staff under DC Kohima, officers from other departments and members of Kohima Municipal Council.
