Nomination Committee of Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) has clarified in regard to the election of Apeto Assumi, head GB of Khutovi village as president of WSKH.
According to nomination committee of Western Sumi Kukami Hoho, Convener, L. Vikuto Wotsa, and sessional secretary, Er. K.Y. Yekhushe Kiba, on the direction of WSKH, the WSKH nomination committee was constituted on May 13 to nominate/elect the new executive members of WSKH, and that GB’s Chairmen of all nine areas under WSKH were inducted into the committee as convener and members.
It further stated that the committee, as empowered by the Hoho, convened a meeting on June 5, at the residence of committee convener L. Vikuto Wotsa, and after much deliberation on who would be the right person to lead the Hoho, eight areas out of nine areas proposed Shikuto Zalipu as the president of the WSKH executive council and had selected Hovikhe, head GB of Vihokhu village as vice president and Jacob Zhimomi, head GB of Akito village as general secretary.
The release also said that as the selection of the president and others was conclusively settled by the house, it was resolved that no nomination/election for the said posts would be held.
However, it said on June 20 when the general session of the WSKH was held at L. Hotovi village, Apeto Assumi, also a government primary teacher in his village and his group had violated Section 6 Clause I of the WSKH constitution and started misusing the name of WSKH in newspapers.
Taking all the above mentioned points in to account, the WSKH nomination committee clarified to all concerned that Apeto was not elected as the president of WSKH and therefore he would not be addressed as president of the Hoho in whatsoever matter. The committee also further informed Apeto Assumi to stop misusing the Hoho’s name.
