Pangtong village has excommunicated Khonsungo Tungoe and his family for allegedly practicing ‘black magic with ‘mias’ from neighbouring Assam.
The Pangtong village council has set August 10 as deadline for Khonsungo Tungoe and his family to leave the village.
A press statement issued by Pangtong village council chairman Yanpvu Patton and head GB Rentsamo Tungoe stated that the decision was taken in an emergency public meeting on July 6. According to the statement, Khonsungo Tungoe had confessed of using black magic on one Nnio Tungoe due to a land dispute. It also stated that the family was no longer the citizen of Pangtong village and whoever dealt with him would be doing so at their own risk.
