NSCN/GPRN clarifies DIMAPUR: The NSCN/GPRN has issued a clarification on the matter that officials at Hebron Camp made a number of forceful phone calls to the members of Forum for Naga Reconciliation to get released those bootleggers detained by them on 14th July 2009 as NSCN/GPRN sympathizers. A release issued by MIP, NSCN/GPRN stated that it never condones any anti-social element and hence it never approached any organization to get the safe release of those bootleggers. Whoever did so is impersonating or taking the name of NSCN/GPRN might have done so at their own risk and on their own individual capacity but NSCN/GPRN as an Organization has no knowledge about it whatsoever, the release added. NPF condole Kapfo’s demise DIMAPUR: NPF Dimapur division has mourned the demise of L. Kapfo. A press release issued by NPF vice president Timir Choudhury stated late Kapfo was a prominent social worker whose contribution in different organisation would be cherished for all time to come. NPF Dimapur has expressed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul. GPS inaugurated at Nikihe village DIMAPUR: Government Primary School (GPS) at Nikihe village under Niuland was inaugurated on July 20 by DEO, Dimapur, Kekosie Angami. According to a press release issued by Village Education Chairman (VEC), Nikihe Village, the GPS was inaugurated in presence of Ketoli Naje, DIS Niuland, A. Nivizolie Meyase, coordinator, ERBC, Niuland, Kihoto Sema, SIS Niuland, Freda, SSA (ADC) Dimapur, Village GBs and elders, council members, VDB members and general public. MKSU fetes successful students Dimapur: Mech Kachari Students’ Union (MKSU) felicitated its successful students of class 12 and graduate level at a function held at Shiv Mandir Hall, Raj Pukhuri, Dimapur on July 25. The programme was graced by S.K Khemprai, SDAO who is also the president of Kachari Tribal council, Nagaland (KTCN). The chief guest urged the students to be positive. Besides urging the students to approach their studies in a systematic manner he said students should overcome inferior complex. Highlights of the programme included special number performed by Pado and group, presentation of Miss and Mr Fresher to Olivia Mech and Neeraj Mech respectively. Others who attended the felicitation programme included Rajkumar Paira Mech, vice resident, KTCN, PD Mech, Retd teacher Chabi Kumar Mech and Bhupati Mech both senior teacher.
