RSBY card scheme launched

The Central Government with a view to provide health insurance cover to unorganized sector workers with special reference to BPL families has announced the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) Health Insurance scheme for the unorganized sector workers. According to an official bulletin, the launching program of RSBY for Mokokchung district was held at Longkumer Kilem, Mokokchung on July 24, facilitated by directorate of labour and employment, Nagaland, Kohima and the New India Assurance Co. Ltd. Dimapur Division. Project officer, Labour Commissioner Office, Labour Department Kohima Chubayanger Aier and program coordinator, New India Assurance Co. Ltd. Dimapur I. Shilu Jamir attended the programme. Under this scheme members belonging to the unorganized sector workers with special reference to the BPL family with (5 Nos) can register themselves by paying a sum of Rs. 30 to cover the expenses of smart card which should be renewed each year by paying the same amount to avail the insurance scheme of Rs. 30,000 per family per annum to cover the medical expenses incurred for their treatment. Under this scheme the following hospitals have been identified for undergoing treatment of the workers in unorganized sectors having smart card, including Oking Hospital, Kohima, Bethel Hospital Kohima, Faith Hospital, Dimapur, Impur Mission Hospital and Woodland Nursing Home Mokokchung. The team also announced that smart cards would be issued on July 27 at Ungma, Kubza and Ao Settsü, July 28 at Khensa, Mekuli, Aliba, Kinunger, Chungtia, Longkhum, Mangmetong and New Camp, July 29 at Longsa, Meyilong, Moalenden, Chubayimkum and Mokokchung Village, July 30 at Chuchuyimpang, Longmisa, Alongchen, Sungratsu, Yimchalu, July 31 at Mopungchuket, Kobulong, Longpa, Longchang, Chami, Yisemyong and Khanimu, August 3 at Sungkomen, Tongdentsüyong, Alongmen, Alempang and Dilong, August 4 at Sangtemla, Penli, Majakong, Merepkong and Arkong, August 5 at Kumlong, Aongza, Salangtem, Kichutip, and Yimyu under Mokokchung district. All listed under BPL have been requested to be present in person during the registration.
