Funeral service of S. Imbilemba Jamir Dimapur: The funeral service of S. Imbilemba Jamir, a prominent citizen from Sungratsu village who expired on July 27, will be held at his residence at Naga Cemetery Colony on July 28 at 11 am. NGBF executive meeting DIMAPUR: An executive meeting of Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) has been convened on August 6 at 10 am at the conference hall of Nagaland Commissioner’s office, Kohima, to discuss matters pertaining to its 25 anniversary planning and general meet. All office bearers, presidents and secretaries of all district GBs association have been requested to attend the meeting. NEZ inter CPO debate competition DIMAPUR: North East Zone (NEZ) Inter Central Police Organization (CPO) debate competition on Human Rights will be held on July 29 at 9 am at Assam Riffles Training Centre (ARTC) school, Shukhovi. According to a press release issued by Lt. Colonel NS Sidhu, Staff Officer-I (Education), ARTC, teams from eight CPO organizations would debate on “Whether to Strictly Observe Human Rights Norms in All Cases of Security Concerns is Not Possible.” Ghokimi Students’ Union meeting KOHIMA: Ghokimi Students’ Union (GSU) has convened a meeting on July 29, 10 am at the residence of its president, Holivi Wotsa in Dimapur at Sema Tilla colony to discuss on the 47th annual session. All executives, advisors, former-office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting. District level science seminar KOHIMA: A district level science seminar on the topic ‘Chandrayan: promises and concerns” will be held on August 28 at 9:30 am Don Bosco higher Secondary School, Kohima. The Kohima DEO, Zaveyi Niekha, has informed all private and government schools under Kohima District that students up to class ten are eligible for participation. The two best participants will represent the district in the state level science seminar to be held in the month of September. All schools have been asked to participate. Northern Zeme Council meeting DIMAPUR: Northern Zeme Council (NZC) has convened a meeting for all citizens of Northern Zeme area covering 14 villages and 5 townships under Ngwalwa circle Peren district on August 1, 10 a.m at Northern Zeme centre headquarters, Ngwalwa town hall to discuss developmental activities of the area. All elders, GBs, chairman and public leaders have been requested to attend the meeting. DCC Dimapur meeting DIMAPUR: District Congress Committee (DCC) Dimapur has convened a co-ordination meeting on August 1, 10 am at DCC office conference hall Dimapur. All responsible office bearers of district frontal, DYC, ACCC, AYC, AMCC, DMCC and NPMCC have been requested to attend the meeting. ACRTA meeting KOHIMA: The organizing committee of the silver jubilee Angami Christian Revival Theological Association (ACRTA) has convened an emergency meeting on August 4, 10.00 am at ACRCC Mission centre Kohima. All office bearers, former-office bearers, executive members, various committee members, Reverends, pastors, Evangelists have been requested to attend the meeting. State Level Natl Service Volunteers Trg KOHIMA: State Level National Service Volunteers Training inaugural programme would be held on July 28, 10.30 am at IG Stadium with Alemtemshi, additional chief secretary as chief guest. DYFI emergency meeting DIMAPUR: An emergency meet of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) Nagaland State Committee has been convened on July 29, at 2pm at its office chamber to discuss agenda relating to the formation of DYFI Dimapur District Committee. All DYFI State Committee members have been requested to attend the meeting. Free birth certificates in Tuensang DIMAPUR: Joint director, Economics and Statistics, P Y Ovung informed that district statistical officer and district registrar of births and deaths, Tuensang will issue birth certificates free of cost to children between 0-3 years of age in connection with the celebration of the road show to be held at Tuensang on July 30 and 31. All parents who have not registered their children’s date of birth have been requested to avail this opportunity. 15th NAP (IR) Mahila bn Mkg informed DIMAPUR: All the selected candidates of 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Battalion from Mokokchung Centre have been directed to report to the Commandant, 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Bn. Chümukedima on July 30 by 9 a.m. According to an official bulletin, Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, Irshad Wali in a circular said that all the selected candidates should carry their personal clothing/bedding and 2 (two) pairs of brown canvas shoes.
