To protect wildlife in Shamator, the Alotsuh control Shamator subdivision have resolved to impose ban on anybody found killing wild animals and birds within the Shamator jurisdiction.
According to a press release issued by EAC Shamator K. Fürhesie Nyuwi, fine of rupees 15,000 and 1500 would be imposed for killing wild animals and birds, using of fishing net and explosive will be fined rupees 1,500, use of poisonous chemicals and generator within Shamator areas will be imposed a fine of rupees 25,000.
Alotsuh Wildlife control Shamator has also imposed total ban on carrying of arms for hunting. The decision was taken at a joint control committee meeting on July 24 chaired by ADC Shamator.
Further, the release informed that new team of office bearers were also selected headed by K. Shojiba Leangkonger as chairman, K. Joseph of Shiponger village as vice chairman, B. Among Rurur as general secretary, M. Kamkiu Sheponger as joint secretary and B. Punsokiu Leangkonger as key holder.
