All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) Phek district has in a meeting held on July 24 acknowledged the task carried out by vigilance department (SI) to eradicate corruption and asked them to expedite investigations in other departments of state as per law without disturbing teachers’ routine during classes.
ANSTA president Puseto Tunyi said the house deliberated and requested the authorities to release scholarship to students of minority communities who received 50% marks in from Class I-X final examinations and provide at least one Hindi teacher and one M.T. teacher to all schools from primary level to high school level. ANSTA, Peren also asked to immediately stop campaigning for Teacher’s Awards (especially by non-locals) while forgoing their duties. It asked for ANSTA executive members to be included in the selection committee both at district and state level and said cooking costs of MDM which were not cleared till 2009 should also be released.
The release said the house also requested for the 2 gas cylinders for Meluri area which was yet to receive and requested the authorities to do justice to all schools.
