A one-day training programme on Post Harvest Technology was held at KVK office Hall, Tseminyu July29.
The training sponsored by Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Kohima and conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kohima imparted training to members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) under North East India Committee on Relief and Development (NEICORD) Tseminyu Town, a press release issued by programme coordinator KVK, Tesophenyu stated.
The resource persons including Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) Khekali Sema and Training Assistant (Home Science) Keviyieno Zhasa spoke on Post Harvest Management of Vegetables & Fruits and Preservation of Soybean, Groundnut & Tomato respectively.
Earlier, SMS (Agri.Ext) Longmayanger, while delivering keynote address highlighted the importance of preservation of agricultural crops through various post harvest technologies, while Kohima DAO and Project Director (ATMA) G.Ikuto Zhimomi exhorted the gathering.
Addressing the training programme, the DAO encouraged SHGs to strive for excellence through dedication and hard work.
Altogether 40 members participated in the training programme.
The programme was chaired by SMS (Agronomy) Imtisenla, while project coordinator NEICORD Joseph pronounced the vote of thanks.
