High malaria rates reported in Mangkolemba

Mangkolemba Town Students’ Union (MSU) has informed that malarial epidemic like situation has affected the people in the Mangkolemba area as for the past two months in June and July people of the area have been checking in at CHC for treatment. Union in a press release issued by its president Limanungsang Walling stated that CHC in Mangkolemba alone had received more than 250 patients suffering from malaria which was more than the previous years. MVSU stated that medical staff lead by SMO has been working tirelessly to fight against malaria. In this connection, MSU has appealed to the government to provide additional assistance to CHC Mangkolemba at the earliest to control the “epidemic like malaria situation as it is turning graver” day by day. Further, MSU has expressed gratitude to staff of CHC Mangkolemba for their dedicated service to the people.
