Minister for soil and water conservation, P.Longon on Saturday formally inaugurated three developmental projects in Noklak Town including a main reservoir water supply project at Noklak, dental OPD Ward at Noklak and 33/ 11 KV 1.6 MVA Sub station at Noklak town. Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Longon, exhorted the administration and head of departments to provide adequate services to the public for the betterment of society.
The chief guest also expressed his gratitude to the chief engineer, engineer Khetovi and his subordinate officials for the successful implementation of the project and assured the public of extending all possible help to the various departments for the benefit of the general public.
Longon also lauded Nakyan village for sharing their water sources for the town dwellers. The superintending engineer SE. circles 1, Er. K.G. Sumi, also spoke on the technical aspects of the projects. The minister also inaugurated the dental OPD ward at CHC Noklak under the NRHM 09 and 33/11 KV 1.6 MVA sub- station at Noklak Town. While visiting the patients ward, the minister donated some financial assistance to the patients and also donated Rs. 50,000 for the maintenance of the OPD ward.
The programme was attended by various government officials, tribal, public and political leaders including KG. Sumi, SE. Kohima circle 1, Jakpou engineer Tuensang, engineer Power department Tuensang, J.E. Laha power, Dr. Victo, ADC Noklak Nyusietho Nyuthe, KTC president W.Chuba, Benglang executive secretary KBCA.
