5th Atou Snooker C’ship underway

The 5th Atou Nagaland Open Snooker Championship commenced Tuesday with 32 competitors vying for the championship at Atou Pool House, Kohima. Chairman of Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board, Dr. Nicky Kire, formally inaugurated the championship. Kire pointing out that Nagas try everything but are specialized in none, he urged the young people to specialize in certain discipline. He stated that it was time that the people started on concentrating on a single track and get the best out of it. The 32 participants are from Kohima, Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Wokha and Dimapur districts. The winner will receive a cash money of Rs.10,000, followed by 1st runner-up, 2nd, 3rd and highest peak point with Rs.7,000; Rs. 5,000; Rs. 2,000 and Rs.2,500 respectively. The championship is being sponsored by the parents and family members of late. Atou Keditsu; and organized by the Atou pool House Club.
