I-day parade practice DIMAPUR: SP Dimapur has informed that the practice for Independence day Parade 2009 would commence on August 7 from 7 a.m onwards at Dimapur district sports complex (DDSC). All participating contingents have been requested to report to the parade commander at DDSC on August 7. Tobu Area Union Kohima meet DIMAPUR: Tobu Area Union Kohima (TAUK) has convened its second general meeting on August 8, 10 a.m at the residence of TAUK treasurer Anden Muklong. All Tobu citizens residing in Kohima have been requested to attend the meeting. ANSWFSA executive meet DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Social Welfare Field Staff Association (ANSWFSA) has convened an executive meeting with district representatives on August 7 at 11 am at the residence of Zhejangulie Terhuja, Kohima, to discuss various issues. All executives and office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting along with agendas and the fund collection. DNNRU general meet DIMAPUR: A general meeting of Dimapur Nkonjan Niro Range Union (DNNRU) has been convened on August, 9 am at the conference hall of Nagaland State cooperative Bank, Khermahal Dimapur. All members residing within Dimapur have been requested to attend the meeting. KUZ emergency meet DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Katharami Union Zunheboto (KUZ) has been convened on August 14 at 3pm at the resident of the union president to discuss matters pertaining to its Diamond Jubilee. All members have been requested to attend the meeting positively. KLSU executive meeting DIMAPUR: An executive meeting of Kohima Lotha Students’ Union (KLSU) has been convened on August 8, 11 am at the residence of the union’s magazine secretary, Wilson Odyuo, PR Hill, Kohima, to deliberate on issues relating to its freshers’ day to be held in the month of September. All executive members have been informed to attend the meeting. SISs meet KOHIMA: District Education Officer Kohima has convened a meeting for all sub-inspectors of schools, under Kohima district on August 6, 11am in the office of DEO office Kohima. All SISs serving under DIS Tseminyu , DIS Chiephobozou and DIS Kohima Sadar have been requested to compulsorily attend the meeting along with their respective DIS’s. KSSU meeting KOHIMA: Kohima Sumi Students’ Union (KSS) has convened an emergency meeting on August 8, 11 am at the residence of union banker Lashito Sheqi at PR hill, Kohima. All union executives have been asked to attend the meeting. ANSTA Peren unit meet DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), Peren unit, has been convened on August 7, 11 am at the residence of its treasurer, Kupuo, to discuss matters pertaining to non release of monthly salary and other important issues. All concerned members have been requested to put agendas (if any) and attend the meeting. SASU meet DIMAPUR: Sakipheto Area Students’ Union (SASU) has convened a meeting on August 8, 9 am at the residence of the union banker, S.G Holo. All office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting. Oriental college fresher’s meet KOHIMA: The 14th fresher’s social of Oriental College Kohima will be held on August 11, 10 am at college premises with Prof. K.Kannan, vice chancellor, Nagaland University as chief guest. DKSU freshers’ meet cum parting social DIMAPUR: Dimapur Kyong Students’ Union (DKSU) would organize its combined freshers’ cum parting social meet on September 12 at Lotha Hoho Ki with parliamentary secretary, Geology and Mining, Y. Patton, as chief guest, and Yarenthung Humtsoe, business entrepreneur and former Delhi Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) president, as guest of honour. KYSO Freshers’ meet KOHIMA: Khezhakeno Youth and Students’ Organization (KYSO) will hold its Freshers’ Meet on August 8, 11 am at State Academy Hall with advisor to chief minister Nagaland Z. Lohe as chief guest. All members have been requested to attend at the meet and requested the presence of all parents, elders and well wishers of Khezhakeno village. Yimchungrüs to celebrate Metumneo KOHIMA: Yimchungrü Union Kohima will celebrate the Metumneo Festival, the biggest festival of the Yimchungrü tribe, on August 8 at the residence of its treasurer. R. Tohanba, parliamentary secretary, IPR, Eco&Stats will be the chief guest. Highlights of the programme include cultural folk songs and significance of Mutemneo festival. The union has requested all Yimchungrü’s residing in and around Kohima to join in the celebration.
