Lungmen fellowship under Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA) visited United Baptist Church (UBC), Gautam Basti, Khatkhati on Sunday with Adivasi Baptist Church, women pastor Atula as main speaker. A total of 50 youth under Lungmen fellowship attended the programme.
Speaking on the theme, “Here I am Lord, send me”, Atula asked the gathering whether they were ready to make commitment with God to serve him. She pointed out that the present generation was lead by Holy Spirit and urged the congregation to be responsible youth of the society and be obedient to word of God. She also called upon youth to ‘build bridges’ among different people. Pointing out that many youth were frustrated with their lives and wasting time on alcohol and drugs, she stated one could spread the word of God even though he or she may not be a missionary. Quoting former American President, J F Kennedy, “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for country” the speaker exhorted the youth to build the society, country and the world.
Earlier the programme was chaired by Lipok while a special gospel number in hindi was presented by youth from Lungmen fellowship. The programme was also attended by both Pastor and Secretary of UBC, DABA youth department, general secretary Sentila, president Akumeren, vice president Tia, general secretary Chubala and assistant general secretary Bendangsangla of Lungmen fellowship.
