More felicitations for Vemugou Hoshi

Minister for health and family welfare Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu lauded Vemugou Hoshi from Phek village for winning gold medal at the recently concluded XXXIII National Arm-wrestling Championship 2009, organized by Kerala Arm-wrestling Association (KAA) under the aegis of Indian Arm-wrestling Federation (IAF) held at Kozhikode, Kerala from July 2 to 7. Expressing happiness to Hoshi for bringing laurel to the people of the Phek district in particular and Nagaland state in general, the minister said that his achievement has made “Nagaland shine” in the map of Indian Arm-wrestling Federation. While congratulating the medal winner, Azo encouraged the other Naga youths to actively involve in the field of games and sports to bring laurel to the state. The minister also wished Hoshi all success for his further participation at the forthcoming World Arm- wrestling Championship to be held in North Italy from September 6 to 13 this year. Meanwhile, in a separate statement Phekmi Welfare Union, Kohima (PWUK) has congratulated one of its member Vemugou Hoshi for winning gold in the XXXIII National Arm Wrestling Championship under 74 Kg category which was recently held at Kozhikode, Kerala from July 2 to 7 under the aegis of Indian Arm Wrestling Federation (IAF) in collaboration with Kerala Arm Wrestling Association (KAA). In a congratulatory message PWUK president, Veduvo Rhakho said, Hoshi the second son of Veniepa Hoshi, who hails from Phek Village was a hard working, obedient and God fearing person who always dream of uplifting the community rather than his personal matter. The 5-time state level champions, Hoshi finally could fetch gold for the state of Nagaland, already being recommended to represent India in the forthcoming XXXI World Arm Wrestling Championship, to be held at Rosillina Mare and Porto (Rovigo) a neighbouring city of Venice in North Italy September this year. In another press statement, Joie De Vivre (JDV) Phek felicitated gold medalist Vemugou Hoshi, the first from among the Nagas in Arm Wrestling championship. JDV president Kuzhovesa Soho while congratulating Hoshi on behalf of the club wished him a best of luck in the forthcoming championship.
