DIS Dimapur remind teachers
DIMAPUR: Deputy Inspector of Schools (DIS), Dimapur, has reminded all categories of teachers under its establishment who were appointed during 2002 to 2004 to submit original appointment order latest by July 20 by 12 noon to be submitted to Vigilance Committee. DIS, Dimapur, Y. Khetoshe Yepthomi, in a press communiqué has informed that failing to submit the documents would face withheld of salaries.
ASHAs 5th Module training
DIMAPUR: All ASHAs under Medziphema Block has been informed that 5th Module training would be conducted from July 20 to 23 at CHC Medziphema at 9 am. All ASHAs under the block have been requested to attend the training.
95 disabled screened in Kiphire
DIMAPUR: Altogether 95 disabled persons from the entire Kiphire district was screened at the Disability camp which was conducted at District Hospital Kiphire on June 26 and 29. For enrolment and identification of handicapped persons 2 passport photos were submitted to DC Kiphire by MS along with forwarding letter.
GPRN/NSCN Sumi region recovers vehicle
DIMAPUR: GPRN/NSCN Sumi region has recovered a gypsy belonging to Rev. Vitoho Zhimomi, pastoral secretary, SBAK (Nito Mount), which was stolen from Nunumi village. According to a press release issued by GPRN/NSCN Sumi region chairman, Huvito Yepthomi, after apprehending the culprit the vehicle was delivered to owner and car lifters were punished. It has warned to take stern actions if they were found involving in any anti-social activities in future.
Zeliang Welfare Society meeting
DIMAPUR: An emergency executive body meeting of Zeliang Welfare Society will be held on July 18 from 10 am at the office premises. The general secretary of the society, Munthin Newmai requested all executive and action committee members to attend the meeting to finalize the allotment of rooms to tenants with certain conditions of the Zeliang Welfare Society building at Dimapur.
Introspective sitting seminar held
DIMAPUR: An introspective sitting seminar on “Images of Ourselves” organized by youths of New Medical Colony, Majakong Ward, Mokokchung, was held on July 11. Resource persons for the seminar were Aolemla Pongener and Matsung Pongener who spoke on the topics “Manner and Etiquettes” and “Vouchsafe to Education” respectively. About 85 students attended the seminar.
JNV parents, teachers meet
DIMAPUR: Meeting of parents’ teachers’ council Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) has been convened at JNV, Mokokchung on July 25. Principal JNV Roy P. John requested all parents to attend the meeting.
Children summer camp in Kushiabill
DIMAPUR: A one day children summer camp organized by Mount Zion School, Kushiabill would be held on July 18, from 8 am at school campus. All interested students from Class I to V in and around Kushiabill have been requested to register their names by July 16 at school office. A press release issued by Chumjamo Lotha has informed that camp would be conducted by resource persons from Sunday school department, Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur and highlights of the programme would include action songs, puppet show, story telling, activities and fun time.
Training allowance for polling officials
DIMAPUR: Training allowance to polling officials who had attended training for the 15th Lok Sabha election would be paid from the office of District Election Office Mokokchung. DEO Mokokchung, Mhathung has informed polling officials to submit identity card or appointment letter issued by Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Returning Officer to receive the allowance.
ITI inform students
DIMAPUR: Principal, Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Er. Wati, has informed students that regular classes for first and second years for various courses would commence from August 17. The principal in a press communiqué has also informed all final year trainees that AITT 2009 programme has been rescheduled from July 31 to August 12.
Diploma Engineering courses result
DIMAPUR: The provisional selection for Diploma Engineering outside the state for 2009-10 session has been declared. A press release issued by Additional Director, Directorate of Technical education, A Kathipri, informed that the result placed in the office notice board or can be accessed at www.itngl.nic.in. The release further informed the provisionally selected candidates to submit their acceptance/refusal letter to the Additional Director on or before July 22 during office hours. While non-submission of acceptance letter within the dateline will be treated as refusal and no such application will be entertained thereafter for any consideration, the release added.
CSUTT supports CCSU demands
TUENSANG: Chang Students Union Tuensang Town, (CSUTT) have strongly supported the demand of Confederation of Chang Students Union (CCSU) on the request for posting of DIS Tuensang. The president of the Chang Students Union Tuensang Town, K. James, has appealed to the higher authority for immediate action for handing and taking over the post which was supposed to be done on 30 June as per the government order but was delayed due to the non- posting of DIS Tuensang. The CSUTT also pleaded to authorities to take stern action against the erring officers as per the government norms if the latter failed to abide rules and regulation of the government.
KSU social work
KOHIMA: Social work programme of Kethagha Service Union (KSU) would be conducted on July 18 at Nsunyu village. All members have been asked to participate in the social work.
Liquor seized in industrial village
DIMAPUR: District Excise enforcement duty party personnel conducted a surprise raid on July 13 on illegal liquor den located near Directorate of Geology and Mining office, Industrial village Dimapur and seized a total of 210 bottles of IMFL and beer of different brands and 60 liters of ‘Zu and Rohi’. According to a press release issued by superintendent of Excise and Prohibition, Dimapur, six persons were arrested and penalized as per the relevant section of Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act 1989 and seized articles being deposited in Excise ‘Malkhana’. Meanwhile, department has informed that it would conduct more such raids in other areas of the town.
