3 AIR sub-station

Nagaland will get three new stations of All India Radio (AIR), which would be set up during the 11th Five year plan in the country. This information was given by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. S. Jagathrakshakan in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha. Also 145 FM transmitters – 100 in North East Region and 45 in rest of the country would be set up. The Government has allocated Rs. 163.90 crores for setting up of these stations, the minister informed. (Correspondent)
