Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has termed “commendable and a good gesture for the younger generation” the passage of the Bill on fixation of length of service. Lauding the initiative of the incumbent government, the NSF president Mutsikhoyo Yhobu and general secretary O Wati Jamir in a press note said the passage of bill has fulfilled the long pending demand of the federation. The NSF, however, observed that many government employees have restored to age tampering and resultantly have put in considerable years of lifetime. It said “this malpractice” of age tampering has adversely affected the chances and opportunity of younger generation to get employment in the government sector. Asserting that it firmly believed the legislation would pave the way for the younger generation, the NSF called upon all sections of the society to support the initiative of the government. The federation has at the same time urged the government to implement the Bill with utmost sincerity and dedication.
