Additional Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner, Alemtemshi Jamir, Commissioner & Secretary, P&AR, Temjen Toy and Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Menukol John, visited Mokokchung on July 16 to review the ongoing preparations for holding the state programme ‘Road Show’ at Mokokchung town on July 31 and August 1.
According to an official bulletin, the three senior officers held in-depth discussions with the Steering Committee headed by Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, C.M Tsanglao, and sub-committees who were making a collective approach to make the Road Show a grand success.
Additional Chief Secretary, Alemtemshi, while reviewing the overall exercise for the show enlightened the officers on the objective of the state wide Road Show programme.
He said the idea behind the programme was show to the people what the government was doing for the welfare of the people and to let people know major schemes and programmes for their upliftment.
Alemtemshi also asked the officers in the district to highlight all the major initiatives being undertaken in the district during the show.
Commissioner and Secretary, Temjen Toy, who was designated as Nodal Officer for Mokokchung Road Show urged various committees to have close coordination amongst themselves to make the programme successful.
Stating that all resources required for the programme would be met, Temjen Toy also said as the road show coincides with the celebration of Tsungremong festival of Ao community, importance should be given to showcase the festival.
The bulletin also said that district officers headed by the Deputy Commissioner held minute discussions with the senior officers to clarify their doubts.
