The first round of the ‘Kids for Fame’ singing contest started with the piano round with 24 participants vying for the title which comes with a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakhs cash award and one year educational scholarship. The piano round was held at IMC hall with MLA, Azheto Zhimomi as chief guest. Azheto lauding the various organizers of the show said the competition not only provided an opportunity to showcase the prodigious and budding talents but also acted as a motivational force for many and provided a healthy family entertainment.
He also encouraged the young artists stating that in music, there was no place for mediocrity and one needs to be the best which required not only talent but hard work.
The participants sang along to the tune of Nise Meruno who played the piano for the piano round competition with Bambi Kevichusa, Theja Meru and Moanungsang on the judges table.
Twelve participants out of twenty four were selected on the basis on quality of voice, song choice and most importantly how well they tuned in along with the piano. The 12 finalists who made through the piano round are Jason Kire, Henlem Konyak, Nogheli, Nancy, Ashuni, Thungchobeni, Aremo Lotha, Kumughatoli, Shawalo Kath, Azatoli, Vibeizonuo, and Seyievinuo.
