GPRN/NSCN: The GPRN/NSCN has expressed shock at the sudden demise of late Lhipezu Kapfo. A condolence message issued by the publicity cell, GPRN/NSCN stated Naga nation needed a man like Kapfo at the juncture to further the progress of Naga society adding he was a man of deep conviction who believed in the equality of all humans irrespective of community or region. The release further stated “His knowledge and understanding of the social and political issues of the Nagas was praiseworthy and his passing away was a great loss not only to the Chakhesang people but Nagas as a whole. GPRN/NSCN also conveyed condolence to his family and prayed that God Almighty would comfort them in this hour of grief.
CYO: Chakhesang Youth Organisation Dimapur District (CYOOD) has expressed sadness over the sudden demise of Lhipezü Kapfo who was one of the early settlers in Dimapur among the Chakhesang community. A condolence message issued by the organisation publicity and information secretary described late Lhipezü to be kind and generous person who served the community in various capacities as chairman of Chakhesang Panchayat Dimapur Area, Nominee members, DTC Union Dimapur, judicial chairman, Chakhesang Hoho Dimapur District, Tenyimi Union Dimapur, Convenor, DB and GBs joint Forum Dimapur, head deacon, Chakhesang Baptist Church Dimapur and till date was the treasurer of GBs Association Dimapur. The organisation stated that late Lhipezü’s demise was a great loss for the Chakhesang community and Nagas in general. The organisation has expressed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
DDGBA: Dimapur District GB Association (DDGBA) has mourned the demise of its treasurer, L. Kapfo. According to a press release issued by the associations’ general secretary, T. Onen Jamir, late Kapfo was a sincere GB who rendered valuable service and had associated with the peace initiative between National workers which was respected by all civil societies.The association further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul.
Naga Council Dimapur: Naga Council Dimapur has expressed grief over the sudden demise of GB L. Kapfo, former Convenor, Dimapur GB Joint Forum on July18 after a brief illness. A condolence message issued by Savi Liegise, president, Naga Council Dimapur stated late L. Kapfo served the people of Dimapur through various public organizations including the Naga Council Dimapur as representative of the Chakhesang tribe for several years and as an active public leader during his tenure in the Naga Council, L. Kapfo was among those who initiated to establish the Old Naga Cemetery which has been a source of public relief till date. It further added that during his tenure in the Naga Council and till his demise as a GB, L. Kapfo was widely appreciated by public for his ubiquitous presence in every issue of public concern particularly in Dimapur district and in a time where most leaders failed to be brave and judicious in the many troubles that afflict public of Dimapur, Kapfo would be remembered for his wholesome courage, integrity and sense of justice in dealing with public conflicts. Describing Kapfo as unassuming, humble and affable who was loved and admired by everyone, the release added Kapfo has been a most generous leader who gave his best to the citizens of Dimapur and expressed that the legacy he left behind be emulated by all leaders. The council also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family, relatives and the Chakhesang community and prayed to Almighty God that He would grant comfort to all.
