Beauty of Dzükou valley mesmerises youth

Thvopismi Youth Association Kohima (TYAK) organized an expedition trip to Dzükou Valley on July 4 to 6 under theme ‘Ready to Race’. The much trhilled TYAK members after visiting the valley rated Dzükou as worth taking up the pain, Keri Tetse-o stated in a press release issued Saturday. On the spot a fellowship was held where the president, TYAK Khruhizo Dozo stated that life was all about struggles and challenges, but with God the youth can fight all trials and temptation. He appraised the beauty of Dzukou valley as worth praising the Almighty. “It was my first trip to Dzükou and I am just blessed to be in the midst of such a creation created by our Almighty” stated Vechotha, adding that “For a moment its beauty made me forget all my pains and agonies”. He however regretted that unscrupulous people visited Dzükou with ill motives rather than praise and appreciate the work of the Almighty. Another youth Verazo exclaimed that Dzükou was an amazing place and had captivated him to a great extent, while Nisa Tetse-o made compared the beauty of Dzükou with the ‘Promised Land-Cannan’. Thvopismi Students Union, president Nezosa after visitng Dzükou valley exclaimed that imagination was better than reality. He compared a student’s life to a trip to Dzükou Valley which needed physical strength, patience and hard labour. CBCSMV: As part of “Dzükou Valley Tour”, youth from Chakhesang Baptist Church Sugar Mill Village (CBCSMV) also visited Dzükou valley from July 7 to 10. The tour was organized by the Church. JYBC: Jalukie Town Baptist Church (JYBC), Youth Department, held a summer camp on the theme ‘Radiance’ from July 3 to 5 at Dzükou valley. The session speaker was Rumatho, Academic Dean of Shalom Bible Seminary, who dwelled on the topic ‘Identity in Christ’, ‘Discipleship’ ‘Salt and Light’ and ‘Shine Forth’. Balajied, a well-known Youth Counselor from Shillong conducted the service where he had frank discussion with the participants and enlightened them about ‘XY folks on Relationship’. ‘Radiance 09 award’ was also handed over to the eight winners of different categories. A total of 130 campers including camp officials and speakers participated in the summer camp.
