Notes of gratitude

RD Wokha block: The council chairman and VDB secretaries, RD Wokha block has lauded project director, programme officer, DRDA Wokha and block development officer, RD Wokha for NREGA for developmental activities and uplifting the RD Wokha block. A press release issued by its president and general secretary said the noble ventures of associate officer under Wokha district were highlighted about the nodal project like NREGA, BRGF etc to bring more transparent and accountable in bringing development in the RD Wokha block. SBC: Sumi Baptist Church PadamPukhuri has expressed gratitude to Dr. Akali Sema, Director, Central Institute of Horticulture, Medziphema for gracing the open volleyball tournament organized by Youth Department as the chief guest and for donating Rs.20,000/- towards the SBC, Youth department. In a press release issued by Tokivi Yeptho, Youth Director SBC Padum Pukhuri also thanked the United Sporting Club for sponsoring the first prize, Rs.10,000. PDFU: Area project organizer of Phek District Farmers Union (PDFU) Thuputhiyi S. Venuh, on behalf of people of Phek region has expressed gratitude to physical spot verification team. The team comprising of SDO (C) as team leader with DAO, Phek as member secretary as DHO, DSCO, SDO (I&FC) as members physical verified all drought affected areas of 4 villages namely Phek, Phek Basa, Lozaphuhu and Losami from August 11. While thanking the team for showing the concern for farming community, Venuh stated that, through their mission several drought affected farmers were re-strengthened through suggestions of alternative cropping and almost all farmers were happy with assurance by the team. Upper Khomi church: The church and farmers of Upper Khomi, church secretary, Upper Khomi church, Kuthopoyi have expressed gratitude to officers and staff of KVK Phek, NRC (M), ICAR, Porba (DIV of Agronomy) for organizing a field trip cum study tour to Jharnapani on August 7. Experts from ICAR and KVK departments assisted the group by explaining technical concepts behind the modern techniques of agriculture and related activities and later distributed sample seeds to the farmers, the release added.
