Leo Club celebrates I-Day, Janmashtami

Leo Club of Dimapur celebrated Independence Day on August 15 with parents club by hoisting the national flag at Leo Park Lions centre. After the programme all the members visited to the Deaf and Dumb School and distributed food to all the students of the school. Meanwhile, members of Leo Club of Dimapur celebrated Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna, was at Leo Park, Lions Centre on August 14. To mark the occasion, the club organized fancy dress competition under the theme ‘Radha –Krishna for children below the age of 12 years’. Altogether 16 kids participated where the competition was won by Harsh and Sanjana Kothari. All the participants were given awards by the club. Matki Phod competition was also organized in which three matkas were put up at a good height. The PRO of the club Leo Ricky Jain stated that two matkas were broken by members and well wishers of Lions and Leo Club of Dimapur. However, none of the members participated in breaking the third matka. The club further extended gratitude to Lions Club of Dimapur, Lions Club of Dimapur (Blue vanda), participants of fancy dress competition, sponsors, guests, well wishers, security, media and all the citizen of Dimapur.
