Rengma Hoho Kohima: The first executive council of the Rengma Hoho for tenure 2009-13 has been convened on August 20 at 10:30 am at Hoho office, Tseminyu. Western Sumi Totimi Hoho meeting DIMAPUR: A meeting of all the executives of Western Sumi Totimi has been convened on Saturday, August 22 from 10 am at the Hoho’s office. IRCS visits Old Age Home Kohima: Members of the Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland visited the inmates of Old Age Home Kohima on the occasion of the 63rd Independence Day on August 15 and distributed food items. The visiting members included Viya Sekhose, Dr. S. Imkong Toshi Ao, R.F. Lotha, Kholie Dolf, Akahle V. Khamo, Malemla Imlong and staffs led by Zakie Kire, general secretary. Bar Councils election Kohima: The election of members to Bar Council of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim has been convened on August 19 in the office of Kohima Bar Association. Khriedi Thenuo President, Kohima Bar Association has requested all members to participate in the election. Dimensions to release two books DIMAPUR: Dimensions Institute for Education & Research will be releasing two books through its publishing division on September 5 at the Dimensions Centre, Dimapur. The books are titled ‘Grammar in practice’ and ‘How to overcome interviews.’ The publications to be released in the coming days can be viewed on a website ANDB prayer fellowship Dimapur: The All Nagaland Driver’s & Bodyguards (ANDB) Prayer Fellowship will hold its 7th Foundation day celebrations on August 22 at 10 am at the Yimchungru Baptist Church near Mt Sinai School, Kohima with the theme ‘Protection of Life’. A note issued by the Fellowship general secretary informed that chief guest for the occasion will be Dr. Neikiesalie Kire, advisor Music Task Force. MVYO mass social work DIMAPUR: Meriema Village Youth Organisation (MVYO) will hold a mass social work on August 22 at 8 am at the Indira Gandhi Stadium complex Meriema along with the village council and the department of the stadium. All concerned members have been requested to attend the social work. DC Wokha informs CMCF beneficiaries DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner & member secretary, district corpus fund committee, Wokha, informed that the orientation course for selected beneficiaries under CMCF 2008-09 for Wokha district will be held on August 21 from 11 am at DC conference hall. All the selected beneficiaries have been requested to attend the programme without fail. TSU inform students to submit fees DIMAPUR: Tsungiki Students’ Union has informed all the college students to submit their scholarship fee for golden jubilee to any executive member on or before September 20. KNCS Mr & Miss Tokhu, Kohima DIMAPUR: Kyong Naga Cultural Society will be organizing the Mr & Miss Tokhu Kohima for the second time to held on October 31 at State Academy Hall, Kohima. ENSUM 7th annual general session Mokokchung: Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Mokokchung (ENSUM)will hold its 7th annual general session August 29 at Chang Baptist Church Mokokchung from 11am on the theme “decoding ideas striking the existing imagination”. The occasion will be graced by MLA P. Chuba Chang and Konyak President ENSF Hawang Wangsha as chief guest and guest of honor respectively. Food & Civil Supplies inform beneficiaries Dimapur: The joint director Food and Civil Supplies, T Lanu Jamir informs all ADS/SOS/I/S that beneficiaries under Annapurna Scheme that distribution of rice under the scheme could not be done since April 2009 due to non receipt of sanction/allocation from the Government of India All deserving beneficiaries under the scheme have been requested to bear with inconvenience caused and the rice will be distributed as soon as the sanction/allocation is received from the Government. Sumi Hoho meet DIMAPUR: An executive meeting of Sumi Hoho has been convened on August 21 at 10 am and its office complex old town Zunheboto. All members have been requested to attend the meet. RD Block VDB secretaries meeting DIMAPUR: The BDO, RD Block has convened a meeting of all VDB secretaries under RD block, Kuhuboto on August 20 from 9 am at RD Rest house near DRDA office, Dimapur. All VDB secretaries have been informed to attend the meeting.
