MTA silver jubilee KOHIMA: Mezoma Teachers’ Association will be celebrating its silver jubilee on September 5 at 10 am at the Hall of Wisdom, GMS. President of All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association, Kepelhoutuo Chüsi, will be the chief guest. All teachers, retired or once served teachers have been invited to the celebration. SBYE combined service KOHIMA: A combined service of Sangtam Baptist Youth Endeavour Kohima will be held on August 22 at 2 pm. All working youth, college students and trainees studying/practicing in various colleges and institutions have been requested to attend the service. Tenyimi People Organization KOHIMA: Tenyimi People Organization (TPO) has convened its ten constituent units meeting on August 28 at 11 a.m at the Conclave Conference Hall, Kohima. According to TPO Secretary (Adm), P. Sani the meeting would deliberate on celebration of ensuing ‘Tenyimi Day’ on February 22, 2010 under the “famous legendary Wild Pear Tree at Makhriefü,” the last assembled and dispersal place of Tenyimi forefathers. The meeting will also discuss on erection of monolith by each Tenyimi People Organization constituent unit. All president, chairman and representative of Tenyimi People Organization constituent unit have been requested to attend the meeting. Training on improved production DIMAPUR: Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), Department of Agriculture and Cooperation will be organizing training on ‘improved production technology of fruit crops’ at SHN, 4th mile, Dimapur on August 25 and 26. The first day of the training will be on citrus and pineapple and second day will be on cashew and banana. Medical camp in Jalukie DIMAPUR: Elite Club Jalukie town will be organising free medical camp –cum- health awareness programme for the entire Jalukie area and Peren district at 10 a.m on August 29 at Midnight Market Shed, Jalukie. The programme will be conducted by senior medical officer, specialist doctors from Peren district and also from outside. Sumi Totimi Hoho meet DIMAPUR: Sumi Totimi Hoho will hold its annual session on August 27 at Satakha town with Doshehe Y Sema, minister for Power and election as chief guest and Sano Vamuzo, chairperson Nagaland Women Commission as speaker. All executive members have been requested to reach Satakha town on August 26 by 12 noon. NSSA general conference DIMAPUR: The General Conference of the Nagaland Secretariat Service Association (NSSA) will be held on August 28 at 12 noon in the conference hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat with Chief secretary Lalthara, IAS, as chief guest. All members of the NSSA and well wishers have been requested to attend the conference. ASHA training in Wokha DIMAPUR: Chief Medical Officer, Wokha, Dr N M Kithan, informed that the last batch of ASHA 5th Module training for Bhandari & Ralan Block will be held from August 25-28 at the conference hall of district hospital, Wokha. All ASHAs have been informed to attend the training. Pensioners verification in Kiphire DIMAPUR: Physical verification of pensioner and family pensioner in Kiphire will be conducted from August 31 to September 8 at treasury office Kiphire during the office hour. All pensioners and family pensioners have been informed to submit documents such as Identity card and PPO books for verification. DGU to observe Balidan Diwas DIMAPUR: All Dimapur Gorkha Union (DGU) units, office bearers, executive members, well wishers and all the Gorkhas of Dimapur district has been informed that the Balidan Diwas will be celebrated on August 25 at Rotary Centre, Midland, Dimapur at 10 am in memory of freedom fighter Durga Malla. The programme will be held under the banner of Nagaland Gorkha Association (NGA). All have been requested to attend the programme. For further enquiries interested persons have been requested to contact chairman, vice-chairman, general secretary, treasurer, welfare secretary, press & publicity secretary at 9436012825, 9436015429, 9856542245, 9856050410, and 9436019443. ‘Out of School Children’ survey 2009 DIMAPUR: The Deputy Commissioner, Kohima has informed a training will be conducted on Household Child census and ‘Out of School Children’ (OoSc) 2009survey for WECs/PCs/Wards of Kohima Town on August 26 at 10.am. The programme would be a national level exercise and mandatory for every village /ward/colony /habitation where detailed information will be discussed and other processes. No separate training will be held for absent WECs/PCs/Wards.
