SAI Dimapur, RSU Viswema in quarter finals

SAI Dimapur and Rachii Students Union (RSU) Viswema were the first two teams to moved into quarterfinals in ongoing 15th Youth Soccer Championship (YSC) held under the theme “March on the front” organized by Classic Club, Kohima. In the first match on Saturday, SAI Dimapur drubbed Aspen Club Kohima 4-0. SAI opened the scoring through Benrithung in the 6th minute, he also netted the 4th goal in the 48th minute. SAI’s second and third goals came from Kheshito and Lovito in the 23rd and 44th minutes respectively. In the second match, Rachu Students Union (RSU) Viswema blanked Phezhu Boys Club 4-0. Vitsozol Sothu put RSU in the lead in the 23rd minute and later he scored the 3rd goal in the 41st minute. Vireiseto Neikha grounded home the second goal in the 33rd minute, while Metol Neikha rounded of the goal scoring for RSU, the 4th goal came in the 57th minute. Metol Neikha, Zayieho Kin, Akho Neikha of RSU and Nguzo Nakhro (Phezhu Boys Club) were awarded with “yellow card” for unsporting behaviour. On August 28, SAI Dimapur will clash with RSU Viswema in the quarter-finals.
