Seso FC, New Market XI in last eight

Seso FC and New Market XI entered into quarterfinals in ongoing 15th Youth Soccer Championship (YSC), played on the theme “March on the front”, organized by Classic Club, Kohima. In the first match on Monday, Seso FC Kohima blanked United Engineers Club 3- 0. Seso FC Kohima scored through Kekhuosapi in the 14th minute (1st goal), Kenielhoulie Rupreo in the 28th minute (2nd goal) and Kobu Kiwe in the 35th minute (3rd goal). Seso’s goal keeper Lhiweke Lohe was cautioned with yellow card for unsporting behavior. The real chance for United Engineers Club was denied as the shot of Asambe hit the cross bar in the dying moments of the first half. Two times winners (1995 and 1998) New Market XI beat Quakers Kohima 2- 0 in the second match. Tosovi and Seyiekhrietuo netted a goal each in the 30th and 31st minutes respectively for New Market XI. Kezevituo (New Market) was cautioned by the referee. New Market XI and Seso FC now meet in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
