Free diabetic treatment in Dimapur
DIMAPUR: A free diabetic screening, check up and treatment camp will be organised by the rotary club of Dimapur in Association with Indian Medical Association Dimapur branch on September 6 from 9 am to 1 pm at Rotary centre, Midland, Dimapur. Diabetic patients have been informed to register their names before September 5 during working hours at Dr. B.L Agarwalla’s Chamber, near blue hill bus stand, Dr. A.B Shoudhury’s clinic, Burma Camp, Dr. E. Mhabemo Ovung, Zion Hospital, Purana Bazar, Dr. Hesso, Metro Hospital, Circular Road, Dr. S. Debnath, near St. Mary’s School, Nyamo Lotha Road, Dr. B. Deb, opposite SBI Branch, Dhobinala, Dr. D.R Sharma, Medicare Health Home, Kalibari Road, Near DMC office.
Advocacy campaign on HIV and AIDs
DIMAPUR: Advocacy campaign on HIV and AIDs with key stakeholders of Dimapur A./C 1.11 and 111 will be held on August 28 at 10 am at the IMC hall. Dimapur Naga Students Union have requested students and college authorities to send at least five students along with a teacher in-charge at the campaign programme.
YVC appeals for better road condition
KOHIMA: The Yongshei Village Council has appealed to government for construction of NEC Road from Longleng to EAC headquarters Yongnyah. Chairman of YVC, H. Hamnyei Phom, in a press note stated that about 30,000 population living in that area were faced with a lot of problems due to poor road condition. It appealed to the contractor in charge to construct the road for convenience of the people.
Pipe line damaged in New Secretariat area
KOHIMA: Water supply main pipeline in the New Secretariat area has been damaged due to widening of road. Informing this in a press note, executive engineer of PHED urban division has informed all water supply consumers of New Secretariat that it would take one week to restore the water supply and for which all consumers have been requested to bear with the department for the inconvenience.
Drugs seized, 1 arrested
DIMAPUR: Excise (mobile squad) personnel on duty conducting search and checking in around Dimapur area on August 24 arrested one Imlimongla Ao of Lonjang village now residing in DC court area for possession of 2457 Sapsmo proxyvon capsules, 200 Relipen tablets and 100 Nitrogen capsules and tablets. According to Superintendent of Excise (Mobile Squad) Dimapur, Tinu Jamir the case has been forwarded to court U/S Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940.
