Reports of anomalies in NPSC results

With the declaration of the preliminary results of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) on Friday, complaints of anomalies in the result have been made by several candidates. It was pointed out that some candidates who scored lesser marks were declared passed to sit for the main exams while those who scored higher marks were declared as failed. When contacted, Secretary Nagaland Public Service Commission, Dillirose Sakhrie, also confirmed that several complaints were received from several candidates. She told this Reporter over telephone, that the Nagaland Public Service Commission will be meeting on Saturday to discuss the matter and after which information would be given through the media. On being asked whether re-evaluation of answer scripts would be done if anomalies were detected, Dillirose refused to comment but requested for the outcome of Saturday’s meeting. It may be mentioned that several incorrect answers marked as correct were detected after the commission declared preliminary test result. Meanwhile, former president, PGSU, Jhansenlo Magh informed all the unsuccessful candidate of NPSC (Prelims) to gather at NSF office building on August 31 from 11 am for a consultative meeting over the result.
