Viswema farmers trained on vermi compost, paddy, fish culture

One day training-cum-demonstration on Vermi compost was conducted on July 20 at Viswema village under FIAC Jakhama Block where 25 farmers attended the function which was sponsored by ATMA Kohima. The technical session covered the topic on ‘construction of pit, site selection, and collection of organic waste and spot demonstration conducted at farm site’. Resource person was Nehovi Toso Soil department and BTT Member. The program was chaired by T. Wabang Longkumer, Fishery Demonstrator and BTT Convener, Jakhama Block and vote of thanks was proposed by Punei Deacon Viswema Baptist Church (VBC) Further, one day training-cum-demonstration on paddy-cum-fish culture was conducted on July 22 at Viswema village under FIAC Jakhama Block where 23 farmers attended. The programme sponsored by ATMA Kohima covered technical session on the topic pre-stocking management of ponds, cultivable fish species, and post stocking management of ponds, integrated fish farming, spot demonstration was conducted at farm site. Resource person for the training programme was T. Wabang Longkumer Fishery demonstrator and BTT Convener FIAC Jakhama The Program was chaired by Neihovi Toso BTT Member and the vote of thanks was proposed by T. Wabang Longkumer.
