ANSTA Peren on delay of salary DIMAPUR: The emergency executive meeting of All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association, Peren Unit held on August 7 discussed non release of monthly salary. They expressed gratitude to the concerned authority for assurance of release of monthly salary and stated that the emergency meeting was called as the salary was their only source of income for support and sustenance of their family. A press release issued by Chungminthang Singson, press secretary ANSTA, Peren said that during the meeting the members hoped and wished that such situations do not arise in the future and sense always prevailed between the teachers community and the department concerned. Escort vehicle hits Maruti car KOHIMA: An escort Gypsy (ML 05E 0240) belonging to 13 AR collided head-on with a private Maruti car (NL-01-2481) near Bayavü junction this evening at around 8pm. The AR vehicle was proceeding towards main town in full speed and hit the incoming Maruti car from the wrong side, according to eye witnesses. The driver of the Maruti car was badly injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The identity of the driver could not be ascertained till the filing of this report. (Correspondent) DWO Zbto conducts assessment camp DIMAPUR: District Welfare Officer (DWO) Zunheboto in collaboration with ALIMCO Guwahati conducted an Assessment camp for physically challenged persons at Zunheboto on August 5 at DC conference hall. Zunheboto DWO stated that the 109 disabled persons, who attended the assessment camp, would be provided with hearing aids, crutches, wheel chairs, walking sticks, other aids and appliances by the ALIMCO Guwahati within 45 days. DWO Zunheboto also thanked the district administration, medical department Zunheboto for extending full cooperation for making the assessment camp a success. Poultry exhibition on I-Day DIMAPUR: District veterinary and animal husbandry officer, Mokokchung has informed that there would be poultry exhibition during the Independence Day celebration at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. The exhibition would be on local, cock, hen and kroiler. Dimapur pensioners’ verification DIMAPUR: Physical verification of pensioners’ under Dimapur Treasury would be held from August 20 at the office chamber of Treasury Officer, Dimapur. All responsible pensioners have been requested to appear in person and also informed that no further payment would be made until physical verification is done. DC Kma reminds workshop owners DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Beiu Angami has reminded all the workshop owners within Kohima town that parking and repair of vehicles on government road has been restricted. As per the statement issued in an official bulletin, failure to comply with the regulation would entail immediate arrest of the workshop mechanics, imposition of fines on its owners, and all other actions deemed fit and necessary without any further notice.
