Tea growers appeal for processing unit

Wokha District Tea Growers Association (WDTGA) in a joint meeting held on July 29, Wokha resolved to appeal to the state government for installing a tea processing unit at Wokha at the earliest. The association also asked all its members to submit data related to the project report at its office latest by August 25. Meanwhile Wokha District Tea Growers Association (WDTGA) also elected its office bearers for 2009-11 tenure with E Nrisao Shitiri as president, Myansao Ezung as vice-president, general secretary E L Ngullie, finance secretary Zubemo Ezung, treasurer Rhuzamo Ngullie, general auditor board consisting of Bichamo Murry, Mhao Ngullie and Bisamo Ngullie, Advisory planning board – N Samuel Humtsoe and K N Odyuo, project implementing/supervision/ monitoring & awareness committee- Agriculture department, Mhabemo Kithan, Khyothungo Tungoe, Chungio Tsanglo, Lanpvuo Ezung and N Bhanpen Kithan as block wise representatives, Phyobemo E Murry as state representative and Oren Humtsoe and K S Ngullie as part of the legal advisory group.
