Tetso College Fresher’s social Dimapur: The 16th Fresher’s Social of Tetso College will be held on August 13 under the theme ‘Strive for excellence.’ with DMC chairman Khekaho Assumi as the chief guest. Women Training Institute informs Dimapur: Classes for all trainees of Women Training Institute (WTI) Seithekema, Dimapur for 2009-10 session will commence from August 17. Interview for history, archaeology candidates Kohima: The department of History and Archaeology Nagaland University informed to all candidate seeking admission for Ph.D in History and Archaeology to report for interview on August 17 at 10 am at the department with original documents. Social work in Bhandari DIMAPUR: Mass social work at Bhandari town will be conducted on August 13. ADC, Bhandari, Roben Lotha has informed public and government officials in Bhandari town to clean their office buildings and compounds at the social work. Sanis I-Day celebrations DIMAPUR: Sanis Sub-Division will be celebrating Independence Day on August 15 at local football ground, Sanis town. ASUD seminar on career, culture DIMAPUR: The Ao Students’ Union Diphupar (ASUD) will be conducting a one day career guidance-cum- seminar at NEZCC guest house on August 14 at 9 a.m. The seminar will discuss about preserving culture and will impart career guidance from class VIII and above. Resource persons for the seminar will be Dr. Tali Imsong, planning officer, Art and Culture, Dr. Lanusangla Tzudir, managing director, Heritage Publication House, P. Alem Jamir, sub-editor Tir Yimyim. L. Sosang Jamir, D.C Judicial Rtd with moderators L. Nuksung Jamir and Tiajungla Imsong. Further, ASUD has extended invitation to Diphupar Naga Students’ Union and all its sub-unit to the seminar. Dept of Industries, Commerce informs Dimapur: The Department Industries and Commerce has invited authorized dealers of industrial machinery and equipment dealing in mechanical, electrical, agriculture, horticulture, knitting, embroidery, sewing, chemicals, pharmaceutical, food processing and confectionery goods to submit a copy of their dealership certificate. The certificate can be submitted to Er .G Keppen Rengma , Director of Industries and Commerce, Nagaland Kohima on or before August 11. ATMA organic farming training held DIMAPUR: A one day organic farming training programme was held on August 5 by Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Kohima at KVK complex Tesophenyu. In his keynote address Dr. Temjennungsang emphasized on making use of arable land in northeastern region as potential areas for organic agriculture because of less usage of fertilizers and pesticides. In the technical session Longmayanger Pongen spoke on broad based organic farming while Zhiethe deliberated on vermiculture and bio composting.
