Kohima is all set to witness the much awaited Kids for Fame 2009 road show on Thursday at state academy hall, Kohima starting 4.00 pm. The chief guest for the show would be C. Kipili Sangtam, MLA and chairman, Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation (NSMDC).
The district-organizers for Kohima, Synergy Group Enterprise (SGE) has informed that preparations have been completed for the successful conduct of the road show and also appealed to the well-wishers and public to come and witness the show. The guest artists of Kohima road show would feature Kimnehoi, finalist Kids for fame 2007, Toshinaro, Naga Idol 2.08 and Oren Mozhui.
Meanwhile, in the first road show this season, the 12 contestants of “Kids for Fame 2009” put up an admirable performance at Zunheboto town on Tuesday. The aspiring musician-kids belted out their favorite numbers, which went down with the audience.
Chairman, Zunheboto Town Council, Khehoshe H. Yeptho who was the chief guest of the occasion, in his address said the vocal contest would be a springboard for children who aspire to become future musicians. He also lauded PMA and the organizers of the event, Finishing Touches, for their effort to expose the latent musical talents of the children.
After the road shows, the venue will shift back to Dimapur where a ‘Spectacular round’ will be held on August 22 at IMC Hall, Dimapur. In this round, three out of the twelve finalists will be eliminated based mainly on the number of voting cards each contestant has garnered and also the decision of the three judges.
The aspiring musician-kids, have come a long way after their first audition and piano round and are now set to face the big stage as they hit the road and woo the public to vote for them. The ultimate Kids for Fame 2009 would walk away with Rs. 2 lakh cash and one year educational scholarship, with the Finishing Touches, the event manager of the second edition of Kids for Fame.
In the first road show, was held at Zunheboto town on August 11, to be followed Wokha on August 15 respectively.

Public voting for the first elimination round will close on August 18. It may be mentioned the winner of the second season of Kids for Fame will receive cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh in addition to one-year educational scholarship and music training (Hope Centre Dimapur).
