Training on child census, out of school children survey conducted

One day training on household child census and out of school children survey was conducted on August 11 at ERBC L. Khel Kohima organized by District Mission Authority, SSA Kohima. The programme was necessitated with an intention to train coordinators and ToTs of the four ERBCs in Kohima district on the survey for 2009, whereby Khukiye Awomi, Research Associate and Akum Aier, Assistant Programmer from State Mission Authority trained the participants as resource persons. Zaveyi Nyiekha, Kohima DEO cum District Project coordinator, DMA SSA also spoke on the role of ToTs. He briefed the EBRC staff to actively strive in their works, calling them as ‘agents of change’. He urged them to work for all round development to bring about quality in education. Resource persons Akum Aier spoke on household child census while Khukiye Awomi spoke on OoSC Survey. During the training, a sample format was provided to the trainees for practical usage to carry out their operations as per the instructions provided. Earlier the programme was chaired by Theyievilie Suohumvü, Assistant District Coordinator, DMA (SSA), Kohima, while invocation was delivered by Thekielie Keditsu, coordinator EBRC Chiephobozou and vote of thanks was delivered by Thongsenlo Project Assistant DMA (SSA), Kohima. Altogether, 44 participants attended the training, representing EBRC L.Khel, Chiephobozou, Viswema and Tseminyu including DMA staff.
