Pastors and volunteers irrespective of denominations and Home Guards personnel have started spending sleepless nights constructing arena for the upcoming Kohima Healing Festival under the theme, ‘…..I am the Lord, who heals you,’ drawn from Exodus 15;26 slated from September 24 to 27 at Kohima local ground.
The sole purpose of the festival is to seek for God’s blessings over Kohima and would see the participation of 200 prayer warriors and 200 volunteers from different churches.
Pastor Neivizolie Chielie, Khedi Baptist Church, in-charge of construction committee said preparations which were on for the last few days was expected to be completed by Wednesday. He also said arrangements were being made to house around 10,000 people (especially on Sunday) from all across the state. He also informed that two counseling centers, to be taken care of by Pastor Shan Kikon of Faith Harvest Church are being set up in the venue.
Rev. Tom Elie, Evangelist, songwriter, worship leader and President, Oasis World Ministries, United States of America the main speaker would be reaching the state capital Wednesday evening, officials stated and added that Timothy Rao, seminar resource person would be arriving on September 24.
The service timings would be Thursday to Saturday- 4.30pm, Sunday morning-9.30am, Sunday evening-3.30pm. Other highlights would be ‘Ignite the Fire’ seminar for pastors, deacons, youth, men and women leaders, inter denominational worship from September 24-26, 2009 from 9am onwards at the first AG church, Kohima, Officers Hill, Kohima.
Rev Dr. T. R Angami, First Assemblies of God Church, Convener of the organizing committee has requested all local Churches not to conduct service on Sunday for which letters have already been sent to respective churches in Kohima.
Khedi Baptist Church, Sanctuary from Union Baptist Church, Sumi Baptist Church, Kohima Baptist Revival Church, Nagaland Christian Revival Church, PR Hill, Joyous Messengers Chakhesang Baptist Church (MH), Kohima Bible College, First Assembly of God church and Shalom Biblical Seminary would be the choirs at the four day event, while God Strain Group would be leading the praise and worship at the service.
Traffic regulation for
‘Kohima Healing Festival’
In view of the forthcoming ‘Kohima Healing Festival’ from September 24 - 27 at Kohima Local Ground, the following traffic arrangement has been enforced.
In a notification, Superintendent of Police, Kohima has informed that the road leading to local ground from ‘Y’ Junction will be a “No Entry Point”, those attending Puja celebration near Post Office should park their vehicles in Zonal Taxi Parking area (Baroda Bank), and those vehicles attending ‘Kohima Healing Festival’ should enter local ground from Northern Gate (Near UBC Church), and exit through the Southern Gate via Nagaland University and Congress Bhavan Complex area.
