NPBCA youth fest
DIMAPUR: Youth Department of Nagaland Police Baptist Churches Association will be holding its first edition of Youth Fest 09 from September 25-27th at 8th NAP Battalion Naltoqa Zunheboto. The Youth Fest will feature games and sports, cultural extravaganza, spiritual challenges with Dr KC Nihoshe, parliamentary secretary industries and commerce as chief guest and O Alem DGP prisons as guest of honour.
Training on school drug awareness
DIMAPUR: Bethesda Youth Welfare Center Dimapur, with support from United Nation office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) will be organizing thee day training on school drug awareness program for nodal teachers from September 23 at Center for Community Transformation, Dimapur.
DB alumni Sechü annual gathering
Kohima: Don Bosco Alumni Sechü Zubza annual gathering with motto “Know, love, help one another and keep united” will be held on September 26 at 10 am at school premises. Monthly spiritual fellowship
DIMAPUR: NCRC P.R. Hill Kohima Prayer centre for Nagaland will be organising three-day monthly spiritual fellowship from September 25 at 10 a.m with Medochol Sothu Associate Pastor and Hovikrol Neikha, Home Visiting Pastor as Chairman. Pastor Vezokho, Naga Shisha Hoho Centre and Pastor Yanulie Sanchu, NCRC P.R. Hill will share the word of God. Evening service will start at 4 p.m.
Earthquake awareness for LFHSS children
DIMAPUR: Little Flower School Past Pupils’ Association will be organising an earthquake awareness programme on September 24 at the school premises. The programme will include screening of a documentary, mock drill on disaster management for the safety of children and teachers.
DIS Kiphire informs on scholarship
DIMAPUR: Deputy Inspector of School, Kiphire has informed all principals of private High Schools that scholarship scheme for students have to be submitted to him before September 25 for onward submission to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. The schemes are girl education scholarship for Class IX –X with 50% marks on overall assessment; and pre-matric scholarship for minority communities of Christians and Muslims of class 1-1X basing on 50% marks on overall assessment. All have been requested to refer to the advertisement on Nagaland Post page 9 published on September 9 issue.
Refresher course on communitisation
KOHIMA: Training for refresher course on communitisation programme and MDM scheme will be held on October 7 and 8 at EBRC Pughoboto. DIS Pughoboto has directed all VEC’s under its jurisdiction to send VEC’s VEC/ chairman/ secretary and one woman member to the training. Failure to attend the training will led to non-release of entire school developmental fund and food grains of MDM, informed the DIS.
NPF gets new office in Akuluto town
DIMAPUR: The 31 Akuluto Area Constituency of the NPF inaugurated its party office at Akuluto town on September18. The office was inaugurated by Dr V. C Kanito, Advisor of the NPF Nagaland, who exhorted the gathering of party leaders and members to work with commitment and sincerity for the development of the party and the area. According to a press note issued by 31 president Akuluto Area Constituency president Kughaho Chishi, those present in the function included area public leader Inaka Assumi, Hotolu Chishi, Advisor Akuluto NPF, Yehokhu Chophy, Advisor, Akuluto NPF, Khutovi Chishi, President of the VK area GB’s union, Hotovi, GB of Akuluto town and a host of party and public leaders of the area and representatives from villages in the constituency.
Leadership training held in Balijan
DIMAPUR: Arunachal Pradesh Christian Revival Church Sub Council Area-I conducted leadership training at CRC, Balijan town for church leader of Balijan circle from September 17 to 20. Nagaland Christian Revival Church Council missionary to Arunachal Rev. Ayang Sor and Arunachal Pradesh Christian graduate prayer fellowship, President Yumri Taipodia were the main speakers of the function. Leaders of seven churches attended the programme.
Spiritual renewal service
DIMAPUR: Nepali Baptist Church of Kohima Midlane in partnership with Himalayan International Mission, Dimapur will be conducting a three day spiritual renewal service from September 25 where there will be healing service every evening. Speakers will be Pastor Edwin Bowers and Pastor Kathryn Bowers Missionaries at Large to India from VA.USA. Church has extended invitation to Gorkhas living in Kohima and NBC church members to participate at the meeting. KOHIMA: Liangmai Baptist Church (LBC) conducted a seminar on “Learn to impart the fullness of Christ” from September 18-20 with resource persons Rev. Suitei, evangelist, ZBCC and Monzeunh Mpom, pastor, Jalukie Baptist Church. The topics shared during the seminar included servant leadership, Christian education, worship element and pulpit etiquette, Christian administration and purpose driven church etc. 120 members participated in the seminar.
SSO literary competition
DIMAPUR: Sweba Students’ Organisation (SSO) will be organising literary competition on October 2 at Panchayat Hall, Sweba Viswema at 10am. The competition would include essay writing on ‘The challenges of youth in the 21st century’ or ‘Naga history, geography and rights’ for college students and quiz for high school students. SSO general secretary, Swedezhonu Kikhi has informed that winners would be awarded cash prize with proficiency certificate.
