VEC Pangti’s plea on teacher transfer DIMAPUR: The VEC Pangti has made a plea to the education department not to transfer Nipon Gogoi as there is only one science teacher in GMS Pangti. A release issued by VEC Pangti chairman Chumben T Ngullie stated that he was not against transfer orders or guidelines but Nipon Gogoi was the only science teacher and therefore before he is transferred, a relief should be sent to GMS Pangti. DC Zunheboto visits Suruhoto DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto Zachive Thele along with ADC Hq Addl and other senior officers visited Suruhuto, Surumi village and also the proposed SDO (C) office building. A press release issued EAC Suruhuto, Phululeshie, stated that the Deputy Commissioner in meeting urged the SDO ( C) and the staff to work with sincerity and a sense of justice. CMC job enabled scheme DIMAPUR: Directorate of Technical Education has asked all interested diploma candidates with above 50 % marks in any stream to apply for undergoing (CMC) job enabled training in Kolkata. Training by the Tata Group is for two months at a cost of Rs 66,180 of which 75% fees will be borne by the department for selected candidates and placement assured after training. The offer is open to all candidates who have passed out between 2005 to August 2009. Last date for submission of applications to the additional director Directorate of Technical Education is September 25. AYO Dimapur new office bearers DIMAPUR: Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) Dimapur at a meeting held on September 19 that there will be meeting on September 26 at 10 am at residence of Holto Kin Tenyiphe 2 village chairman. In the meeting Roko Angami was elected as acting chairman, Luola-o Usuo as acting secretary resident of Notun Basti and United colony respectively. Other area representatives were also appointed to assist the welfare of its member community. NLOU condoles DIMAPUR: N- Longidang Officers’ Union (NLOU) mourned the death of RY Ngullie and conveyed condolence to the bereaved family. A release issued by the union said that his services to the Lotha people in general and the village in particular will never be forgotten and they would be thankful to God for blessing him in their lives. The union prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. Longleng farmers exposure trip DIMAPUR: The two- day farmers’ training-cum-exposure tour to Dimapur organized by ATMA Longleng was conducted from September 17 to 18. The tour was led by two BIT convener and 15 farmers from both the blocks attended the training programme. A press hand out by superintendent of sericulture and P.D ATMA, Longleng, Yanger Ao stated that the team on the first day visited fishery department, Nagarjan lab- cum awareness centre and were explained about the method of feeding fish, maintaining of ponds and food preparation by resource person, Venizo. The team also visited state horticulture nursery and Dhansiripar government sericulture unit.
