District agriculture office, Kohima organized Integrated Pest Management Programme (IPM) for Kezoma and Kezo-Basa farmers on July 21, August 22 and September 15.
On July 21 the programme commenced with a brief opening remark by Ikuto Zhimomi DAO Kohima, who highlighted about the training and stated that main objective of the training was to protect and preserve the crops from pest without chemical fertilizers and medicines which harmful to human.
Officials TB Chiru, APTO, Seyievono, AO, Rüdülhou, AFA, Zasei-u, AFA and Rembemo AFA imparted detailed information of scientific ways to protect and Biological controls for IPM.
The Department has also provided free equipments and accessories for pest management to the farmers and also provided light refreshment, stated a release from Kezoma Village Agri Committee (KVAC).
According to Kezoma Village Agri Committee 70 farmers attended the IPM Programme and expressed gratitude to department in particular and government.
