The six Additional SPs would be working at Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Jiribam and Moreh. The government wants early resolution of pending cases so that public grievances could be reduced, the Minister said. Construction of rehabilitation centre for surrendered militants, training centres for IRB, Manipur Rifles were also discussed during the meeting. Three per cent job reservation for physically challenged persons in government would also be implemented as decided by the Cabinet. It is also informed that the state cabinet took serious note of student bodies enforcing class boycott even though the Minister refrained from divulging details on government steps to resume academic activities.
